Key dates

Monday 5 January 2022

Online enrolment opens. Online enrolment for courses beginning in January 2022, starts from Wednesday 5 January. No need to worry if you don’t receive your invite on this day – we send out enrolment invites over several days so you may not receive your personalised link as soon as enrolment opens. If you have met your conditions and have paid your deposit, just keep checking your inbox.

Students who are under 18

Before enrolling, Students who are under 18 years old should meet with an International Student Support Advisor before collecting their BRP Cards.

If you are under 18 years old at start of the teaching period (Monday 24th January 2022), our International Student Support team will need to complete an under 18 check validating your UK guardian details.

You should have received the Under 18 Parental Guidance Form with your offer letter. Please ensure you complete all sections of the form and provide contact details of your UK guardian. We will not be able to grant you access learning materials, or send you a link to complete online enrolment, until this check has been completed, so we encourage you to provide these details as far in advance of Monday, 24th of January 2022 as possible. If you do not currently have a guardian that lives in the UK, you can purchase this service from an accredited provider. More information can be found on the ‘UK Legal Guardianship Requirement’ web page.

If you have not completed your UK guardian details, please email studentsupport.io@coventry.ac.uk as soon as possible.

BRP Collection

When you arrive in the UK, you need to collect your Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) as soon as possible. We advise you to select Coventry University London or a suitable Post Office as the collection point for your BRP.

Please note, if you are coming to the UK to study on a Student Visa, you will not receive the online enrolment link until you have demonstrated your right to study. On arrival to the UK (and after fulfilling quarantine obligations) you must collect your BRP card. This is the visa document that covers the duration of your course.

The Houndsditch Post Office branch is less than a 5 minute walk from Coventry University London and most of the popular accommodations, but please research to find the one most convenient for your situation. Do not choose Coventry University as your collection location.

During January enrolment you will be invited to collect your BRP card if it is held at Coventry University London at the same time as you do your right to study check. When you complete your location and travel information on your survey- confirming that you are in the UK- you will receive an appointment that takes your travel date and quarantine requirements into account. The appointment will be sent to the email address you have used for your application. The appointment invitation will confirm what you need to bring. The information below may also be a useful guide.

What do I need to bring to my appointment?

When you attend your appointment, please come with the following documentation:

  • CAS letter (printed if possible)
  • Current passport

  • BRP collection letter stating ‘Coventry University London’ or your BRP card that you have already collected from elsewhere.

If you do not have all the required documents with you for your appointment, your appointment will need to be re-arranged.

What if I cannot attend my appointment?

If you are unable to attend your appointment for any reason (for example, self-isolating), please contact RTSCheck.london@coventry.ac.uk stating your full name, student ID number and appointment time and date as soon as possible.
