National Institute of Teaching and Education (NITE)

Established in 2019, the National School of Education and Teaching rapidly became one of the country’s largest providers of Initial Teacher Training. It was awarded Institute status from the Government in late 2021 and is now known as the National Institute of Teaching and Education (NITE).

NITE is now a leading global provider of teacher education, including ITT, post graduate degrees and continuing professional development. NITE is accredited by the Department for Education (DfE) in England to recommend the award of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and international qualified teacher status (iQTS).

NITE aims to be the go-to institution for aspiring and current teachers and school/college leaders for training and professional development. The Institute’s distinct feature is the flexibility of its programmes, which provide access for teachers nationwide to sector-leading training.
