Working with schools in England
Across England, we collaborate with schools, leaders, and teachers to improve the quality of teaching and leadership.
Our innovative and flexible online solutions ensure we can work together, wherever you are located, to develop your existing staff and support future teacher recruitment.
Working with NITE has made a real difference to how we have developed apprenticeships across Holy Spirit MAC. What stands out is how well they understand schools, they listen, adapt and shape delivery around what we actually need, rather than offering a fixed model. That has allowed us to build a clear pathway from Level 5 through to Level 7 and grow our own staff in a way that is both purposeful and sustainable.
Sandie Wilson, Director of Teacher Education, St Thomas More Catholic School and Sixth Form College, Holy Spirit Catholic Multi Academy Company, 2026
The support is consistently strong, for leaders, mentors and apprentices. What matters most to me is that our 18-year-old apprentices feel just as supported as colleagues who have been in education for years, which is not always easy to achieve. Everything is organised and easy to access, so it genuinely feels like we are working together, not separately. As we grow into a wider diocesan Catholic MAT, I have real confidence that this partnership will continue to deliver for our schools and our pupils.
The PGTA course itself is fantastic. The support we get from the tutors so readily available. At any point, if there are any queries, I have a host of people that I can email and they’re just so, so informative, so knowledgeable, come back really promptly, which is really appreciated. The course is really flexible in terms of when the tutorials happen. And I know [trainees] really appreciate the support they get from their online tutors and their visiting tutors. Actually, I can’t recommend it highly enough.

Our teaching assistant had done all the research and found NITE and it just seemed like the perfect pathway for somebody in her position and the perfect pathway for us as a school. The fact that it was virtual, but that you also had tutors who would come out. She’s been guided step by step. It all ‘jigsaws’ together, it is just such a good package, and it feels so relevant. Rather than just going off and doing the lectures and that being very separate from school.
Emily Brown, Headteacher and in-school mentor, Langar Primary School, England, 2024
In my work as an Independent Visiting Assessor, I have been continually impressed over the last three years at the quality of the NITE trainees. I regularly come out of classrooms having observed outstanding practice. It seems clear to me that this is due to a combination of strong University Lead Mentor and in-school mentoring, highly relevant FutureLearn content, rigorous processes and the huge importance that courses place on reflective practice. The strict requirement to observe others regularly also has a huge impact.
