Subject Content Author – Secondary economics / sociology / media / criminology

We are looking for Secondary Subject Content Authors with a strong background in teaching in their subject to join our team on a short-term contract. This exciting opportunity is perfect for an experienced educator or consultant with a passion for creating high-quality educational content.

Key requirements:

  • Proven track record of being a highly successful teacher in your subject in the UK.
  • In-depth knowledge of GCSE and A-Level exam specifications in your subject.
  • Experience in content writing or curriculum development (preferred).
  • Understanding of teacher training programmes and professional development for educators.

This role is ideal for an education consultant or someone with a mixed portfolio looking for flexible, short-term contract work. You'll be part of a dynamic team, shaping resources that help trainee teachers succeed in your subject.

ITT Visiting Assessors – Primary and Secondary (all subjects)

Nationwide and International | Closing date: Ongoing

This is an exciting opportunity to join NITE as a Visiting Assessor to our school-based trainee teachers. Applications are welcome from serving and former teachers and school leaders, as well as current freelance consultants.

We are building a pool of assessors at primary level and across the secondary subject range in each region of the UK and internationally. For suitably qualified individuals there may also be the opportunity for international travel.

Our assessors include current teachers who undertake this work for their own Continued Professional Development (CPD), retired teachers and school leaders, and freelance former teachers. The number of assessments can vary in each assessment cycle according to your desired commitment and the location of trainees.

Assessors will need to have experience of observing teachers, making accurate judgements on the quality of teaching and feeding back to trainee teachers.
