UK students

Your funding or payment arrangements must be finalised before you can re-enrol.

If re-enrolment is blocked in SOLAR, it is often because a finance step is outstanding or your funding has not been confirmed yet.

What you may need to do

  • Renew your Student Finance loan (UK students).
  • If you’re self-funding, pay your tuition fees at least 10 working days before you re-enrol so the payment clears in time.
  • If you have a sponsor, upload a new sponsor letter (required every academic year).

Why this matters

If your finance isn’t confirmed, SOLAR may prevent you from completing re-enrolment.

International students

Before you can re-enrol, you’ll need to make sure your tuition fee payments or sponsorship arrangements are fully in place. International payments can take longer to process, so it’s important to complete this step early.

If you cannot re-enrol yet, it is often because your payment or sponsorship has not been processed or confirmed in SOLAR.

What you may need to do

  • Pay your tuition fees using Convera GlobalPay, our approved international payment system. Convera GlobalPay allows you to pay from your home country in your local currency. International payments can take several days to clear, so make your payment well ahead of re-enrolment.
  • If a sponsor is paying your fees, upload a current sponsor letter to SOLAR. Sponsor letters must be provided every academic year, even if your sponsor has not changed.
  • If you pay in instalments, check your instalment schedule and make sure your first payment has been made before you attempt to re-enrol.
  • If your visa requires evidence of financial support, ensure you have up-to-date documentation ready in case it is needed for future visa checks or renewals.

Why this matters

Your re-enrolment cannot be completed until your payment or sponsorship has been processed. Sorting this early helps avoid delays and ensures your access to systems and teaching continues without interruption.
