What is enrolment and why it's important
Completing your enrolment opens the door to student life in England’s capital city: your student identity, funding, course information, learning and support resources, student entitlements, discounts and more, are all accessible once you’ve fully enrolled.
In fact, without completing your enrolment, you simply won’t be able to access everything you need to study, work and live your best Coventry University London student life!
A completed enrolment is the gateway to your student life – here’s how you do it:
(Note: A small number of our courses enrol using a different platform so you may see different screens than shown in this video)
UK fee-paying student
Follow these steps to enrol
-
Step 1: Enrol online
Once you’ve accepted our offer and paid your deposit (if required), look out for our follow-up email – this one takes you to our dedicated student enrolment portal and will walk you through the enrolment process step-by-step.
UK fee-paying students - if you are accessing a loan via the Student Loans Company, please confirm if prompted. If you are self-funding, please select this option when prompted. You can also find tuition instalment dates and how to pay on this page.
You’ll be given your student account and you’ll also have the chance to get to know the tools we have in place to help you get to know your way around campus and explore our online learning environment.
-
Step 2: Collect your student ID card
No student ID? No student loan, no access to your accommodation, facilities and services, no important news and updates, no discounts, no fun - it’s that simple.
Once your enrolment is complete, you can collect your Student ID from University House Reception.
The Reception team are available from 10am-1pm and 2-4pm, Monday to Friday.
All students must provide proof of identity and nationality to get a student ID card.
In order to verify your identity, you’ll need to bring the documentation listed in our accepted proof of identity and nationality document.
For all UK fee-paying students who are not UK/Irish nationality, you will need to complete a Right to Study (RTS) check with the Enrolment and Compliance Team before receiving your Student ID.
Online only or distance students: you will not need a student ID card unless you want to access campus facilities and services.
-
Step 3: Get your student status letter
There may be times when you need to prove your status as a student, e.g. opening a bank account - you can generate a student status letter by logging into the Student Portal or via the Wayfinder app.
-
Step 4: Keep an eye on our website
All the latest information about your course enrolment, our facilities and services will be on our website, so keep checking back in to stay up to date before you arrive and when you get here.
You'll also find details on the Wayfinder app.

If you are an international fee paying student please read our enrolment guide.

Once you’ve had an email confirming your enrolment is complete, you can login to Aula to get full access, using your Student login details.
The university have a number of online apps, systems and processes you’ll need to become familiar with – to help you navigate them, we’ve created the Wayfinder app, which will help you find your way around.

Don’t forget – your timetable may change, so keep checking!
