Physiotherapy Degree Apprenticeship (MSc Physiotherapy and Leadership)

This innovative course provides learners with both a broad and in-depth physiotherapy education at master's level, preparing them for roles in a range of health and social care settings.

The programme is aligned with the Skills England Physiotherapist apprenticeship standards and Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) requirements and graduates are able to apply for registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

Course overview

The pre-registration MSc Physiotherapy and Leadership apprenticeship offers applicants with relevant practice experience and prior learning, the opportunity to work towards eligibility to apply for HCPC physiotherapist registration.

The programme is designed in line with Skills England, HCPC and CSP requirements, aligning with local, national and global best practices. This physiotherapy apprenticeship supports apprentices to develop the knowledge required to work across a wide scope of physiotherapy, including all four HCPC pillars of practice; clinical, research, education, and leadership, building on their continued work-based learning.

Subjects covered on the programme include professionalism, anatomy and physiology, clinical reasoning and decision-making, influences on health and well-being, research, evidence-based practice and leadership.
