Course content is aligned with the Skills England Nursing Associate apprenticeship standard and Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) requirements, preparing learnings for a roles within health and social care. Successful completion of this apprenticeship will enable learners to apply for registration with the NMC as a Registered Nursing Associate.

Course overview
The Nursing Associate course aims to support the development of compassionate, competent and confident Nursing Associates at academic level 5. The course is designed to provide apprentices with the knowledge and skills required to deliver a wide range of clinical skills and nursing care underpinned by a systematic knowledge base.
The course is aligned with the Nursing and Midwifery Council Standards of Proficiency for Nursing Associates and is designed to prepare apprentices to work with people of all ages and from different backgrounds, cultures and beliefs. It also aims to develop effective communication and interpersonal skills and to support apprentices in demonstrating accountability within their practice. Achievement of professional standards and outcomes is subject to successful completion of all academic and practice requirements and registration with the NMC.
