Part-time
At CU Coventry, we strive to deliver our part-time degrees in a way that suits adults with busy lives. Part-time courses run on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
Each course is made up of short blocks of six week durations, and you can study up to three blocks in one year. You need to study 12 blocks for a degree, 8 for a HND and 4 for a HNC. However, you can choose to slow the pace down and study your course one block at a time.
Assessment methods could include coursework, essays, practical or project work, group work, presentations and tests. The Coventry University Group assessment strategy ensures that our courses are fairly assessed and allows us to monitor student progression towards the student achieving the intended learning outcomes.
Part-time student Chris discusses how he has fit his course around his job and secured a promotion through the skills he has developed at CU Coventry.
Part-time contact hours may be made up of a combination of face-to-face teaching, individual and group tutorials, and online classes and tutorials. Our courses are taught by academics and industry professionals.
Please refer to your specific course webpage to review how your course will be assessed and the number of contact hours you will receive each week.

University in the evening
If like many people, you regularly find yourself busy with other commitments over the weekend, the option to study during weekday evenings could be the ideal solution.
Part-time students usually receive seven hours per week direct face-to-face delivery and three hours per week blended learning. Outside of this, there will also be independent study and online support.
Teaching normally takes place on Tuesday and Thursday evenings 6pm-9.30pm. You are also able to book individual tutorials in advance, from 5.30pm-6pm.
Please note: part-time courses run subject to numbers.
