A module’s first half will focus on studying and working through the structured teaching and learning materials on our online learning platform, with materials designed to promote an active approach to learning.
Your study will be guided with opportunities to engage in online discussion forums and to join (optional) live sessions with a tutor. You can expect to spend on average, 12 hours per week engaging with online teaching resources. The optional 2 hour live sessions typically take place between 9-5 GMT, and are recorded for students unable to attend. In addition, you will be expected to engage in your own self-guided study to support and provide depth to your learning.
In the second half of the module, you will be expected to review your online learning, continue your own reading and research, and work on your assessment. You should expect this to take around 24 hours per week. You will also have the opportunity to engage with your tutor in further 2-hour live sessions. The optional 2-hour live sessions typically take place between 9-5 GMT, and are recorded for students unable to attend.
Throughout the two blocks you will also be able to book up to 6 one-to-one sessions with your tutor for further personalised support.
Assessments are usually submitted in week 14 of a 30-credit module.
