Explore clinical and practice-based definitions of neurodevelopmental disorders and special educational needs, engage with standardised assessments and remediation, examine government policies, legislation and debates in education that are essential for those wishing to practice.

Critically evaluate the psychological mechanisms and processes that shape political attitudes, behaviours and decision-making, particularly during periods of social and political unrest. Explore concepts such as bias, prejudice, threat, racism, ethnocentrism, morals and emotions to understand the complexity of political psychology in human responses and behaviour. Critically assess major psychological and applied theories (for example, social, criminogenic and forensic) to examine the media’s influence on group actions and individual behaviours.
