Apprenticeships offer you the chance to retrain or upskill at no cost to you or your school.
Schools in England can use the apprenticeship levy to pay the cost of our approved apprenticeship training. We offer apprenticeships that align with your career goals, whether you seek to begin teaching, hone your mentoring and coaching skills, or pursue school leadership qualifications.
Our apprenticeships
Teacher Degree Apprenticeship: Primary Education
Provides a fee-free, salaried route for those without a degree to gain a degree and qualified teacher status (QTS).
Postgraduate Teacher Apprenticeship plus PGCE
Provides a fee-free, salaried route for graduates to gain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), with a PGCE at no extra cost.
Postgraduate Teacher Apprenticeship: PGCE SEND
Provides a fee-free, salaried route for graduates to gain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in SEND schools and settings.
Specialist Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship
Offers professional development for staff in support roles and can be a step towards a teacher training.
Coaching Professional Apprenticeship
Offers formal accreditation to staff whose role includes mentoring and coaching.
Operations Manager Apprenticeship (Schools and Colleges)
Offers professional development for school staff who lead teams, manage projects, and drive departmental performance.

Completing the PGCE with QTS apprenticeship in the school where I work has allowed me to continue to build on the existing relationships that I have with the staff and children whilst having the support of my colleagues throughout my training. The course has also allowed me to continue earning a salary while gaining my qualification.

The support you get from your ULM, they understand the workload both in school, you know as your job, and also the online learning. I think the fact they understand, you can go to them for support and help when you need it, is brilliant.

Personally, it has really changed the way I support colleagues, I no longer 'recuse' when people ask for advice and now my colleagues come to me and ask 'can we do that coaching thing so I can figure this out'.
