The ITT programme led by Coventry is extremely well organised; the course content follows legislation thoroughly and it is very well-structured dovetailing research, theory and practice components with supplementary training courses to enhance the apprentices' understanding. The structure of quality assurances combines written and practical elements with tiered reviews - SBM, Mentors and Visiting Assessors in strong partnership.
As a school, we have had very positive outcomes for our ECTs as the course has exacted high standards and expectations. NITE have been forward thinking in allowing us to blend SEND and Mainstream practices which has led to a new SEND PGCE course!
