Postgraduate qualifications for teachers
We offer practical and relevant postgraduate qualifications that build upon your current skills and prepare you for your next step in education.
Achieving a master’s (MA) should have a positive impact on your professional knowledge, confidence and career prospects, both within the education sector and beyond.
Our PG and MA courses are distinct because they focus on developing the practical skills central to successful teaching and leadership. They are designed and delivered by experienced educators with specialist pedagogical knowledge and a track record of exceptional practice in schools. Our courses aim to develop your professional expertise and deepen your understanding of educational theory, including within your chosen field of study. This combination will enable you to hone your classroom practice, develop your skills and pursue your research interests.
Our PG Certificates, PG Diplomas and MAs are delivered to you through our digital platforms and allow you to embed your learning straight away in your daily practice. Academic content is designed to be interactive and engaging, enabling both independent and peer learning. You will have the support of your own personal university tutor, who will provide one-to-one mentoring and regular group tutorials.
For me, this MA is an opportunity to deepen a personal philosophy of education, one first shaped during the NITE PGCE. It reinforces my belief that while individuality matters, there is something shared in what students need: to be recognised, to be understood, and to be supported in becoming. Education, at its core, is not solely the transmission of knowledge, but the quiet, transformative act of helping someone see themselves differently: in a warmer, more generous, multi-angled light.
Barbara Fiordisi, MA in Education (Development of Expert Teaching), England, 2025
The MA in Educational Leadership was highly rewarding. Studying alongside my busy role as Head of School was demanding, but the support provided by NITE made it manageable. I particularly appreciated how relevant the course content was and how it connected to real school leadership, encouraging reflection on culture, professional development and educational practice rather than focusing purely on theory. I also valued the variety of the assessments, which ranged from case studies to presentations and the final action research project, as well as the support of our Associate Lecturer, Sally Hamson. The programme not only strengthened my confidence as a leader but also deepened my interest in educational research and school culture.
Emma-Maria Robertson, MA in Educational Leadership, Spain, 2026
The course has reinforced my dedication to education and commitment to excellence highlighting the significance of reflective practice. The teaching staff have been outstanding, consistently demonstrating a high level of knowledge on a broad range of subjects. The flexible schedule and lectures have allowed me to study alongside working full-time; this has been a valuable investment. I would highly recommend this course to educators who are keen to enhance their teaching practice and increase their knowledge of expert teaching from an international perspective.
Naomi Reid-Evans, MA in Education, Bermuda, 2024
