Dana Awad

London is known for its academic credentials. It’s a great place to study. It’s one of those cities with a lot of students, and strong cultural diversity. This was very important, as I felt welcomed, never judged or looked badly upon. People are really welcoming and nice.

Dana studies International Marketing MBA at Coventry University London. Originally from Timisoara, Romania, Dana also studied her undergraduate degree with us, citing the diversity and teaching quality as important factors in her decision.

I studied my undergraduate degree at Coventry University London and I really enjoyed it due to the cultural diversity, the dedicated teachers and the quality of education. It’s for these reasons I decided to go with Coventry University London, as well as their high rankings.

I chose my course because in the future, I want to pursue a career in the marketing field. I’d like to work in digital marketing for a fashion company and then create my own business in the same industry – but focussing more on the business side of things.

I’d definitely advise people to make use of the internship options available at Coventry University London as it helps give them a taste of work for the future.

I would tell anyone to go to university. It’s a unique experience – you make many friends and you have the chance to experience many cultures. There are so many people who can help you in your future career, and so it’s important to take the time to network.

I love this campus’ location. I studied my undergraduate degree here and I’ve made friends for life. They all come from different cultures, and we all blended in really well. I also like the fact that Coventry University London helped me become more confident, for example, with presentational speaking. I’m a very shy person and the experience helped me come out of my shell.

Of all the things that have helped me prepare for my future career, the presentations have had the biggest impact on me. They’ve helped me become more outspoken and confident. I did my dissertation, which taught me how to do in-depth research and helped me form my plans for this year and go for an internship!
