Coventry University London makes it a requirement for BA (Hons) Global Business Management UK students to go abroad as part of their year 2 either to study or for a work placement. International students studying on the BA (Hons) Global Business Management are abroad already by virtue of studying in London and can choose to have a work-related project in the UK.
For BA (Hons) International Finance and Accounting and BA (Hons) International Hospitality and Tourism Management, UK students can choose a sandwich option whereby they work abroad for a year after their year 2, before coming back to study for their final year.
The work/study abroad supports the concept of the programmes being truly a global experience in an internationally-orientated institution. Study programmes and work placements are usually in English so that students are not required to have prior knowledge or learn a foreign language during the programme, hence giving them more time to focus on directly, vocationally-relevant skills.
