Course Date: 6th July
A one-day hands-on masterclass in handling the media during a crisis based in Coventry University’s state-of-the-art TV studio production facility in the centre of the city.
The course will show you how to establish and build a good relationship with the media. Journalistic professionals will coach you on approaching journalists, creating trust and help you understand how media organisations think and subsequently act when they hear about the emergence of a crisis.
Not only will this workshop session help you make people sit up and pay attention to your brand, but it will demonstrate effective strategies for communicating your vision, illustrating the importance of making the public understand your company’s plans and goals and how best to do it.
You will also learn how corporate mis-steps can be rectified if you connect properly with your audience and learn how to improve intra-company communication.
This will be done using direct expert advice from media and PR professionals, as well as practical tasks carried out within the studio, such as presenting training and live briefing exercises.
This course is aimed at the public relations departments of major companies, marketing and brand professionals, or people looking to improve their communication skills.
