The Master’s in Construction Management with BIM (MSc) is designed for those wishing to specialise in the management of construction projects, integrating the latest Building Information Modelling (BIM) and digital tools to drive innovation in the sector.
You'll develop expertise in managing complex projects, from planning through to delivery, with a focus on sustainability, risk management, and financial oversight.
The Construction Project and Cost Management MSc offers specialist skills in project and cost management within construction. This course explores new, non-adversarial methods of project management, while providing a strong foundation in cost control, contract management, and strategic project delivery, aimed at preparing you or supporting your existing professional role in construction management and quantity surveying.
We regularly review our course content, to make it relevant and current for the benefit of our students. For these reasons, course modules may be updated. The modules described below were for the May 2025 intake.
At Coventry University, we continuously review the courses we offer to ensure we reflect industry-relevant emerging best practice and technology. As a result, this course is undergoing continuous improvement assessment and will be launched with a renewed curriculum starting in September 2025. Module content and titles will be updated. Our Master’s in Construction Management with BIM has been designed to satisfy the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) Education Framework, which is a requirement on the path towards membership of the professional body.
The degree provides universally applicable skills supporting roles from BIM managers to Sustainability Consultants.
Our Master’s in Construction Project and Cost Management supports careers in Cost Management to Project Leaders. Recent graduates have successfully gone on to full-time employment within Balfour Beatty, Kier Group, Turner and Townsend UK and Mott MacDonald.
