Jackie Edwards

Jackie qualified as a primary teacher in 1986 and initially taught for only for 2 years but returned to teaching in 2003 after a career change to work as a computer programmer and then a career break to raise her children.

She remained in teaching until 2016 and, in addition to her main class teaching, became a specialist teacher in Mathematics delivering Level 6 mathematics to children across the cluster in which she worked, a Primary French specialist developing resources and training other teachers to deliver the county’s scheme of work, and the music teacher for both primary schools she was employed in. In 2016 she started work for her first ITT provider, moving to Coventry University in 2019 as an operations manager for the National Institute of Teaching and Education.
