Amanda Hinks

Partnership Development Manager

After completing her undergraduate degree, Amanda gained her PGCE and QTS with a specialism in Modern Foreign Languages. She has taught French, Spanish and German up to A-Level in schools, and has also worked in local primary schools to develop MFL transition from primary to secondary school. Prior to working as an MFL teacher, Amanda also worked as an English teacher in France and Spain.

Since leaving teaching, she has worked as a freelance translator, specialising in legal translation from French and Italian, and as a retail manager responsible for a team of 40 people. Amanda joined the National Institute of Teaching and Education in February 2021 because she wanted to help others get into teaching. As one of the Partnership Development Managers, her main role is to liaise with schools to ensure their experience with NITE is as smooth as possible.
