Dr Gizem Kutlu completed her PhD in Management at the Department of Public Leadership and Social Enterprise at The Open University Business School, UK. She was a teaching assistant on Exploring Entrepreneurship and Innovation module for the last 2 years. She joined Coventry University London as a lecturer (A) in Business and Management in 2023 February. She teaches both undergraduate and postgraduate courses on Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Her research and teaching interests have a primary focus on the intersection of sustainability, entrepreneurship, and innovation.

Additionally, Sunny has participated in various activities held within the University. Currently, he is representing the HR department within CIPD East London Branch as an academic committed member and in the past he has contributed to the preliminary session of setting up a research centre at Coventry University London.

Research and Consultancy

Dr Gizem Kutlu has 6 years of experience in conducting research in the areas of gender and entrepreneurship, environmental and social innovation, and sustainable practices of SMEs. Her systematic literature review on gender and environmental entrepreneurship has published in proceedings of Institute for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (ISBE) Conference on Space. Additionally, she has an upcoming book chapter on ‘’Sustainable Female Entrepreneurship, A Case Study from Turkey” to be published in Dr Dhaliwal Spinder’s book on Entrepreneurship and Diversity. She is also contributing the development of Higher Education through her existent collaboration with colleagues from Open University by exploring interventions to reduce minoritized ethnic student’s attainment gap in Higher Education Institutions.
