Dr Gissa Izadi

Gissa Izadi is an economic development specialist and academic focused on the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. She is currently a lecturer at Coventry University London teaching various undergraduate- and postgraduate-level modules.

She has worked in consultancy for several international organisations such as Amnesty International and International Iranian Economic Association (IIEA). She also has experience of providing consultancy to several private companies in the Middle East, such as Kouhsar Recreation Company, Toos Gypsum Factory and Golestane Esmat Charity.

Her areas of interests are financial markets in the MENA region with a special focus on Iran; SDGs with a focus on SDG8; international development economics; quantitative and qualitative research and analysis; and labour economics in MENA.
