Second and third year BA Global Business Management and BA International Finance and Accounting students visited Rotterdam School of Management to participate in their 2014 International Week.

As Rotterdam is home to Europe’s largest port the theme of the week was Rotterdam: International City and Sustainable Port. Students visited and explored Maasvlakte 2 to learn about the infrastructure, functioning, challenges and sustainability approach of this expansion project.

Other activities included guest lectures on sustainable entrepreneurship, a visit to a Rotterdam “climate initiative”, a day trip to Amsterdam where the students visited the famous Rijks Museum and a treasure hunt around the city.

Programme Leader Yvonne Browne said:

“New relationships were built throughout the trip to Rotterdam encouraging students to broaden their minds.  The International exposure has also conveyed new vigour to the mind and done wonders for the students who participated.”
