CU Scarborough is excited to be hosting a Health Conference on 26 and 27 October 2023

Are you currently at school or college and thinking about higher education study in the Health and Social Care sector? Or are you currently working and wanting to enhance your career? Never been to a Health Conference before? Why not take the opportunity to join us at our Health Conference on 26th and 27th October?

CU Scarborough has been working with Health Education England now NHS England to promote careers in Learning Disability Nursing and Mental Health Nursing. As a celebration of the success of last year’s Health Conference and would like to invite those who are interested in studying or working in the Health or Social Care sector.

We have invited a selection of guest experts who will be covering some key topics from the industry. This will provide you with an insight into the different job roles within Health & Social care, give attendees an opportunity to find out about projects, research and also to network with local organisations and find out about possible volunteer and career opportunities.

What is on offer at CU Scarborough's Health Conference?

Each day has its own theme, and you can choose which one you prefer to attend:

  • Thursday 26 October – Learning Disability and Mental Health
  • Friday 27 October - Social Care

Each day will be filled with keynote speakers, breakout room sessions & networking opportunities. We have invited guest speakers for each day and provided spaces for breakout room sessions & networking opportunities.

It’s your opportunity to enrich and get a taste of the real world of our local health and social care heroes. Organisations and keynote speakers will be diving deeper into key industry topics and will be also sharing recent research. You will have the chance to learn, share your thoughts and discuss during the networking and breakout room sessions. It will be a great enrichment opportunity and a taster into what local health and social care organisations do.

Attending the conference, which will be a great addition to your CV and will boost your knowledge and experience, you will also be able to find out what CU Scarborough has to offer: we have a range of pathways on offer for many health courses.
