Master’s in Emergency Management and Resilience MSc

The Master’s in Emergency Management and Resilience MSc is a 100% online course designed for professionals looking to specialise in emergency planning, crisis management, and resilience. This program covers risk assessment, emergency response, recovery strategies, and policy development. You'll gain the skills to analyse and mitigate disasters, manage complex incidents, and enhance community resilience. Choose the accelerated option to complete in one year, or the two-year flexible part-time option. 

Emergency Preparedness and Management PGCert

Flexibility to graduate with a PGCert or choose to continue on to study the master's.  

This certificate covers legal frameworks, technological solutions, and best practices to equip you with the skills to manage emergencies effectively. You'll develop a comprehensive understanding of risk assessment, governance, and multi-stakeholder communication. 

Emergency and Incident Management PGCert

Flexibility to graduate with a PGCert or choose to continue on to study the master's.

This certificate focuses on incident management, leadership, and community safety. You will cover critical legal frameworks, risk assessment, and emerging technologies to prepare you for managing complex emergencies. You'll gain practical insights into governance, public policy, and crisis recovery, while studying best practices for planning and response.

At Coventry University, we continuously review the courses we offer to ensure we reflect industry-relevant emerging best practice and technology. How you will learn

Study flexibly at times that suit you. 100% online

  • You will have classes, online tutorials and seminars, with all your learning activities available on-demand so that you can learn at the best time and location for you.
  • Choose either a full-time master's programme over three semesters in one year, or opt for part-time.
  • Access electronic resources 24/7, including thousands of books, ejournals and newspapers.
  • Gain the support of an Associate Lecturer. The Associate Lecturer will undertake weekly live sessions (recorded for those unable to attend). These sessions will be seminar based, discussing the learning materials, giving clarity, depth and direction to your learning.
  • The Associate Lecturer will also offer fortnightly one-to-one surgeries for any individual requirements and will be available for questions on platform and via email.
