Coventry University has been named as one of the leading universities in Europe for quality of teaching and learning in a new league table.

The rankings success comes after Coventry University retained its title of UK’s top modern university for the seventh consecutive year in the Guardian University Guide 2019, and secured a gold rating in the UK government’s Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF).

The Times Higher Education league table scores universities across the continent based on feedback from students and on global academic reputation, among other measures.

As well as student engagement and reputation, universities’ rankings are measured by how effectively they deliver teaching, how inclusive the learning environment on campus is, and how good the outcomes for students are.

We are extremely proud to be part of Coventry University Group, and the new league tables are wonderful news for our staff and students.

We have had a hugely successful three years in Scarborough and have just been able to celebrate out very first graduation. We look forward to continuing this growth, welcoming more students to benefit from our incredible teaching and support over the coming years.

Professor Craig Gaskell, Associate Pro-Vice-Chancellor of CU Scarborough

Based upon a career-focused model of higher education, CU Scarborough offers more flexible and accessible learning options, higher levels of contact time and lower fees than many other universities.
