CU Coventry held its first ever Community Day and it was a huge success. Hundreds of people turned out for the special day and joined in with a variety of fun-filled games and activities.

The Community Day was CU Coventry’s largest ever event with more than 300 guests, including children, adults, current students and staff members all visiting the campus.

Everyone who came along enjoyed ice cream, face painting, arts and crafts, inflatable games, sport activities and circus performers.

Guests were also able to participate in interactive course drop-in sessions with academics throughout the day and listen to SparkTalks discussing topical research and innovation.

Oliver Rossetti of CU Coventry said:

We wanted to organise an action-packed day to not only showcase Coventry as a fantastic, vibrant city, but also to engage individuals of all ages in higher education and showcase what is on offer in the local area.

As an institution that prides itself on offering flexible life-shaped learning, and one which has prospered in the city of Coventry over the years, we wanted to give something back to the local community and with it being the largest and most popular event we have ever held here at CU Coventry, I feel we did exactly that!

We're looking forward to holding our next community day in Spring 2018.
