On Wednesday 15th March budding photographers of Coventry University London had the opportunity to showcase their works illustrating their student life experiences as part of the Student Life Photography Competition. Students gathered on campus to view the stunning entries and vote for their favourite. The event was organised by Student Experience Management Coordinator, Veranika Hrytskevich who said:

“The aim of the competition was to encourage students to have a creative outlet to help ease the stress of full time study”

With over 50 entries, Veranika said “we had a really good response”, which made it challenging for Veranika narrow it down to the ten entries that were displayed on the evening. “It was great to see so many entries showcasing such a variety of activities that our students enjoy when they’re not studying.” The top ten entries featured stunning scenery of the River Thames, images of Adele in concert at the famous 02 Arena and a variety of beautiful architecture sprinkled across London.

The winner and runner-up were announced on the evening of the competition with Nassim Nikkah winning first place for her work titled ‘Busy Lighted London’ and Farrah Noor coming in second place for ‘Silhouette Introspect’. As the winner, Nassim will have great exposure for her photography work, as her winning piece will be displayed around campus for six months.

With such a great response, Veranika and Coventry University London are looking forward to seeing the entries for future exhibitions. For photos from the event please visit our Facebook Page
