London Campus MSc Global Financial Trading graduate Agathe Silvagni was recently appointed Data Analyst at Bloomberg. With over 15,000 employees in 192 locations, Bloomberg delivers business and financial information, news and insight around the world.

During her MSc studies Agathe made extensive use of the Bloomberg Terminals at the London Campus. She was inspired by the quality of information available via Bloomberg Terminals and by the Bloomberg Trading Platform allowing users to obtain real-time financial data which allowed her and other students to benefit from comprehensive financial data such as analysis, news and stock quotes.

As a seasoned professional, Agathe wanted her next career move to be to secure a job with top news company, Bloomberg. To help her achieve her ambition, she worked closely with the London Campus’s Employability team to perfect her CV, interview technique and to get general advice on her way to securing the Data Analyst position.

Agathe said:

“I had a fantastic experience at the London Campus studying with passionate and dedicated teachers, and an Employability team always available to offer advice and support to help secure jobs and internships.  The material provided, such as the Bloomberg Terminals available in the Trading Floor room at the London Campus was very helpful during my studies. It made the subject much more concrete and comparable to the reality of the financial world. I also thoroughly enjoyed participating in external events such as the University Trading Challenge. I would recommend the MSc Global Financial Trading at the London Coventry London Campus to anyone who is genuinely passionate about a career in finance.”

Jo Blissett, Careers Advancement Manager, Coventry University London Campus added:

“Agathe worked really hard on her application and preparation throughout the interview process to ensure that she stood out from other applicants. It’s great news that her hard work and persistence has paid off in securing her this position – well done.”
