Milliner Artisan hat exhibition launches at the London Campus
Following the success of the 21st Century Hat Exhibition in 2015, this year’s London Hat Week Exhibition [ Milliner x Artisan ], curated by X Terrace fashion platform and MBA International Fashion Management Acting Principal Lecturer, Monique Lee Hylands-White (with the help of 15 fashion students from Coventry University London Campus), aims to showcase the most creative, innovative, and cutting edge hats from milliners across the globe.
This year Coventry University London Campus aims to welcome over 1,000 visitors for the exhibition. The theme of this year’s exhibition is celebrating the collaboration between art and millinery. From over 250 applications, the finest 130 hats made by milliners have been selected from 20 countries (UK, Japan, Sweden, Australia, USA, Spain, Russia, and others). Beautiful hats inspired by artists, architects, musicians, scientists and even icons such as David Bowie, Zaha Hadid, Picasso, Monet, Frida Kahlo, Gaudi, Lady Gaga and many more.
