London Campuses compete to win ‘University Challenge’

In a bid to instil some friendly competition between the London Campus universities in the neighbouring area, Coventry University London Campus held it’s very own ‘University Challenge’ style competition. Coventry University London Campus, Glasgow Caledonian University, Newcastle University London all competed to win the University Challenge cup.

Coventry University London Campus students played spectacularly and won with 90 points, the university was represented by Mayuresh Pai, Michael Ogunjimi, Shaidah Ali and Rucha Aghera. The students who represented both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes helped to defeat Glasgow Caledonian University who were leagues behind with 36 points and Newcastle University London who trailed further with 23 points.

Our take on University Challenge is just one of the ways that we look to engage student participation on Campus.

Student Events Co-ordinator Jess Harrison said:

“This was a great event and the staff and students thoroughly enjoyed working alongside teams from other universities. We hope to welcome back Glasgow Caledonian University and Newcastle University London and Northumbria University London who unfortunately had to drop out last minute back for some friendly competition between campuses.

“We frequently hold events such as movie nights, Fresher’s Events, Culture Days which are solely for Coventry University London Campus students and we have a few more in the pipeline as upcoming events”.
