At a launch today at Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, Australia, Coventry was ranked globally in the top 200, putting it among an international elite of dynamic, game-changing institutions less than 50 years old.

The university is also highlighted as being in the top 50 young universities for ‘Generation Y’ (those with birth years between the 1980s and early 2000s).

Coventry University’s vice-chancellor, Professor John Latham, said:

"Everybody involved with Coventry University should be intensely proud of this achievement as we celebrate 25 years since becoming a university.

"To me, being a young university means taking on today’s challenges in new ways. Coventry’s focus on teaching, research with impact, employability and promoting global experiences keeps us relevant to employers, students and researchers from all around the world.

"Our University and city have undergone a transformation in recent years. I see this latest recognition as further evidence of the hard work, innovation and commitment to excellence which colleagues past and present have put in over two decades. It is great news for our city and region."
