We’re offering you a chance to secure reduced entry grades for your chosen CU Coventry degree course when you attend one of our Open Events.

Is my course eligible?

You will have the opportunity to upgrade your offer on most of our full-time undergraduate degree courses.

To be eligible, you must be applying for Year 1 (e.g. first year of a degree) of a full-time undergraduate course and hold a conditional offer that includes Level 3 requirements (A levels, BTEC, T-Levels, etc.).

Applicants or offer holders for part-time degrees, degrees with foundation year, HNC or HND, HTQ’s or Top-up courses are not eligible.

What does the upgrade get me?

The upgrade is our way of recognising your potential and giving you a little extra support.

For example, a conditional offer of BCC/104 UCAS Tariff points could be upgraded to CCD/88 UCAS Tariff points.

We know that an application form doesn’t always reveal everything you’re capable of.

That’s why we’re giving you the chance to showcase your passion and potential by attending one of our Open Events and taking part in a subject activity. We'll recognise your effort by upgrading your conditional offer. Here’s how it works:

What will the subject activity involve?

During the subject activity, you might take part in a hands-on piece of work, explore an idea related to your course, or work with other offer-holders on a task. The subject activity is not a test; it’s designed to be helpful and collaborative, not intimidating. The course team is committed to making this subject activity as inclusive as possible for everyone. We understand that people learn and engage in different ways, so we want to ensure you can do your best.

What are you looking for during the subject activity?

We’ll be looking for your engagement, enthusiasm and interest in the subject - it’s not about knowing the right answers. The upgrade recognises the effort and commitment you show during the subject activity. Complete the subject activity, and if you meet the criteria, you'll see the upgraded offer on your UCAS Hub within 10 days.

Do I have to take part?

No. It’s entirely optional. If you don’t participate, your original offer still stands. However, we highly recommend attending an Open Event. These events offer the perfect opportunity for you to meet your tutors and support teams and get answers to all your questions so you can feel confident and excited about your next step.

What if I can’t attend?

We understand that visiting in person isn't always possible. Please complete this form if you are unable to attend but are still interested in upgrading your offer. if you are unable to attend, but are still interested in upgrading your offer.

What if I applied for more than one course at CU Coventry?

You can only attend one subject activity at an Open Event. We recommend you choose your preferred course, as this is the one we can upgrade your offer for.

• If your courses are in a similar subject area, we may upgrade multiple offers.
• If you applied and have a conditional offer for a degree course at Coventry University, we would recommend attending a Coventry University Applicant Experience Day and taking part in the subject activity for that course.

What if my offer has already been reduced?

We encourage you to attend an Open Event even if you already have a reduction in offer from one of our schemes. If you successfully complete the subject activity, we will be able to upgrade your offer further.

What if I haven’t applied yet?

We still encourage you to attend an Open Event. If you take part in the subject activity, meet the eligibility criteria, and later apply for that course (by 30 June 2026), we will be able to apply the offer upgrade.
