About the Scholarship
Coventry University Wrocław is proud to offer the Academic Merit Scholarship to Polish/EU students who show exceptional academic achievement and a strong passion for their chosen subject.
The award will give successful students a 50% reduction in tuition fees for their first year of study. Up to 5 scholarships will be awarded in the 2026/27 academic year, covering all intakes. It will be awarded to the best and brightest students, who achieve outstanding academic results and demonstrate commitment to their subject through a personal statement.
Timings
Applications for the 14 September 2026 intake will be open to all new and existing Polish/EU offer holders. Offer holders with the appropriate qualifications (see below) will be provided with an application form which must be submitted by close of play on the 23 August 2026. Successful applicants will be notified by the 7 September 2026.
Eligibility
This award is open to all Polish/EU students enrolling onto their first year of a full time programme at Coventry University Wrocław.
Applications will be assessed in the timeframe given above using the following criteria:
- Your academic profile and qualifications achieved, including a minimum of 70% overall in the Matura with three extended subjects, or equivalent qualifications
- A 500 word personal statement, outlining your experience, interest, or passion for your chosen subject
- You must go on to enrol for the first year of a full time undergraduate course at Coventry University Wrocław
- Academic performance and the personal statement will be judged together to determine the strongest candidates.
Award Payment
If eligible, the 50% tuition fee scholarship will be applied:
- At the outset, if payment for the year is made in full, or
- On the final instalment, if paying by instalments.
Exclusions
The scholarship outlined is not open to applicants to: CU Coventry, CU Scarborough, CU London, Coventry University, Coventry University London, Coventry University Online, National Institute of Teaching and Education (NITE).
Students in receipt of the War Refugee Scholarship or any other scholarships, bursaries or discounts are excluded from this award.
Terms and conditions
- All scholarships and discounts will be applied after enrolment.
- The scholarship is only available for full time undergraduate students (excluding top ups) who do not already hold a degree qualification.
- This scholarship cannot be combined with any other scholarship, bursary, or discount.
- The scholarship is only available to self funded students; sponsored students are not eligible.
- The University’s decision on the interpretation of eligibility criteria is final and there is no right of appeal.
- Applicants must comply with all requests for additional information and provide any evidence requested by the deadlines stated in the offer letter.
- Coventry University Wrocław reserves the right to withdraw the scholarship from anyone found to have misled the University about any aspect of their eligibility and to seek repayment of any monies already paid.
- There is no right of appeal against the University’s decision; complaints may only be made where there is evidence of a procedural error.
- The University reserves the right to amend or withdraw the scholarship at any time.
- The decision to award a student this scholarship is at the sole discretion of Coventry University Wrocław, and awards are capped at 5 across the 2026/27 academic year.
