Coventry University

Who we are and what we do

We are a forward-looking, modern university with a proud tradition as a provider of high-quality education and a focus on applied research.

Our students benefit from modern equipment and facilities in all academic disciplines from health to computing centres and design and engineering laboratories, to performing arts spaces and extended reality (XR) studios.

We have been chosen to host three national Centres of Excellence in Teaching and Learning, which has enabled us to invest substantial money in subject areas such as health, design and mathematics.

Our Coventry city-centre campus is continually developing and evolving. The 2023 opening of the College of the Arts and Society's Delia Derbyshire complex represents an ongoing commitment to ensuring our students benefit from the latest technologies and industry-standard equipment to enhance their studies and practice.

As a major presence in Coventry, we play a big part in contributing to the city's friendly and vibrant atmosphere, making it a welcoming and inclusive student city.

This presence also enables us to foster successful business partnerships. It is through these links with leading businesses and organisations in the public and voluntary sectors that our students are able to access project and placement opportunities that enhance their employability on graduation (placements are subject to terms and conditions).

Our teaching, staff, facilities and student experience have received a variety of awards and accolades in recent years, and we continue to invest in them as part of our goal to become one of the UK's leading universities.

With world-leading research, academic partners around the world and students gaining life-changing experiences all over the world, Coventry University is a truly global university.
