International experience opportunities

Please note staff may be subject to change.

The International Centre for Transformational Entrepreneurship runs yearly overseas visits, which you will be encouraged to attend* (subject to availability, fees and meeting applicable visa requirements). These trips typically blend business, academic and cultural experiences to help you gain a better understanding of entrepreneurship and its impacts in international contexts. For example, a previous visit to Thailand saw past students take part in an entrepreneurial boot-camp at a partner university alongside a variety of local and international students, before visiting a broad range of local businesses to understand how they apply entrepreneurial principles to their activities. In addition, past students also spent time with local community groups, to learn how impact can be made at a local level through entrepreneurial techniques. As well as to Thailand, these previous yearly trips have also seen past students have similar experiences in Malaysia and South Africa.

Alongside the overseas opportunities offered, you will also be actively encouraged to take part in international business events organised in the United Kingdom to enhance your entrepreneurial development, as well as being encouraged to apply to join the Global Leaders Programme, a university-wide programme designed to strengthen your ability to embrace different cultures and preparedness for global employment challenges.

*Please note that we are unable to guarantee any overseas opportunities or fieldtrips and that any such opportunities referred to on this webpage may be subject to additional costs (e.g. travel, visas and accommodation etc.), competitive application, availability and/or meeting any applicable visa requirements. International Entrepreneurship is a very important course for an aspiring entrepreneur. In Coventry they have a very good structure about how each and every topic has to reach students. Lecturers were very engaging with students and cleared any doubts that students had, they were very supportive and replied to any queries through e-mail and in class. Overall it was a very valuable experience in life, learning outcomes would support us through life. I would recommend studying with Coventry University.
