Visa information

As part of the application process you will need to obtain the relevant entry clearance before you can travel, ensure you have sufficient funds and pass any necessary health checks before your arrival in Poland. Please read more information on applying for your visa:

D-Visa

You can apply for a D-type national visa to enter Poland for more than 90 days. Full details are available on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Visa website.

We recommend applicants contact their local Polish consulate as there may be differences in applying for a D-Visa depending on your home country.

Documentation

To submit your D-Visa application, you can register with e-Konsulat. You will need:

A current passport
A photograph
A filled out and signed visa application
Proof of visa payment
Medical travel insurance, with coverage of at least EUR 30,000

Please note

Changes to Polish immigration law mean that the availability of D-visas, student visas and other immigration permissions for certain applicants may be restricted from 2027. Eligibility will depend on the applicable legal requirements and each applicant's individual circumstances.

Once you have your D-Visa and have arrived in Poland, you must apply for a Temporary Resident Permit to extend your stay for the period of your academic year. Additional fees will apply. Information can be found on the Polish Office for Foreigners website (in English).

Applicants and prospective students are also encouraged to regularly check the official Polish Government and Polish Office for Foreigners website for the latest immigration requirements, compliance obligations and any changes that may affect their eligibility to study in Poland.
