Coventry is a city on the rise, which is one of the reasons the university adopted the Phoenix as its emblem. Now is the perfect time to join the Coventry community as we bid to become the UK’s City of Culture in 2021. The city centre has recently undergone massive redevelopment and more work is planned in the near future. Coventry has a growing reputation for being a cosmopolitan city with an abundance of great shopping venues, cultural landmarks and a vibrant nightlife. The city also boasts a number of sports teams including Premiership rugby side Wasps, Elite League ice-hockey team Coventry Blaze and EFL League One football club Coventry City.
There is also a great selection of student-friendly bars and restaurants and the campus is easily accessible from all parts of the city.
Coventry enjoys excellent transport links. Birmingham is just 20 minutes away by train and you can get to London in about an hour. A short train ride to Birmingham International Airport opens a world of travel possibilities.
The University is investing heavily in student accommodation across the city. Our most recent development is due to open in September 2017, and with more to follow in 2018. We also own a number of multiple-occupancy houses and give students access to hundreds of privately owned properties through our own lettings portfolio.
So now is a great time to join the university and the community of Coventry. Be a part of it.
