Changing Your Coventry University Password

Depending on what kind of user you are, there are a few options available to reset your password.

Student Password Changes

Current Students. You can reset your password by visiting www.coventry.ac.uk/renewpassword and following the onscreen instructions.

This will change your password on all these services:

  • ITS Windows and Macintosh machines
  • CU2STUDY
  • Student Portals
  • Office 365
  • Campus Wireless Networks and more...

 

Staff Password Changes

Staff members. You can reset your password by using our Remote Desktop Services. 

You can download the guides below to access Remote Desktop Services.

When you are logged in, open the start menu and click the "Windows Security" button then click "Change a Password".

This will change your password in one place for the following services:

  • ITS Windows Managed Desktops
  • CU2WORK
  • SharePoint Portals and sites
  • Office 365
  • Campus Wireless Networks and more...

 

Expired Passwords

If your password has expired, then use the Remote Desktop Services, you will be prompted to change the expired password.

 

Forgotten Passwords

If you have forgotten your password or are not sure what to do please either

  • Visit the ITS Service Desk Live in the Library.

or

  • Phone the ITS Service Desk on 02477 657777.

When you have reset your password, please make sure it's also updated for all of our wireless networks you have set to connect on your mobile devices you can do this by "forgetting" the network and reconnecting.
