Part-time

Part-time

At CU Coventry, we strive to deliver our part-time degree courses in a way that suits adults with busy lives. Part-time courses currently run on Saturdays and if the demand is high enough we can also offer selected courses on week day evenings.

Unlike other Universities, it could take only three years to complete a part-time degree at CU Coventry. Each course is made up of short blocks of six week durations. You can study up to four blocks in one year. You need to study 12 blocks for a degree, 8 for an HND and 4 for the HNC. However, you can choose to slow the pace down and study your course one block at a time.

All of our part-time courses include classroom based and online learning. We provide tutorial support to assist you outside the normal class times and we make it our business to make sure you are progressing well with your studies.

University on a Saturday

If you are working during the week, you may find it convenient to study for your degree or professional qualification on a Saturday. Our degree courses are delivered all day on Saturday in addition to online learning. You study with us for up to 18 weeks per year, broken up into three, six-week blocks. Our professional courses are offered throughout the year on a Saturday and are either a full day or half a day.

University in the evening

If like many people, you regularly find yourself busy with other commitments over the weekend, you will find the option to study during weekday evenings the ideal solution. Depending on the course selected, a typical evening course will run over week day evenings (up to two per week) between 5.30pm and 9.30pm. As with the Saturday degree course, evening degree courses will be delivered over six-week blocks and there are up to three blocks per year.

Funding

All of our part-time foundation and degree courses are eligible for a student loan which covers the costs of the tuition fee from Student Finance England
