Overview
Coventry University is famous for its innovative and interactive teaching and students will engage in stimulating sessions and active learning with excellent tutors who are passionate about their teaching, and aim to provide a unique immersion into British language and culture. The Certificate-only course is designed for non-native speakers of English and supports participants in improving their knowledge and proficiency of the English language, while at the same time, providing them with opportunities to learn about and experience British culture.

Course detail
The course will be comprised of a general English language course combined with inter-cultural communication skills in a global context, English language tuition, communication, and experiences in an authentic cultural setting.
Each year, the programme has an overarching theme, and the students’ lessons will incorporate this theme into their weekly sessions, presentations, and everyday activity. Each week there is a cultural or company visit included, as well as a day trip to London during the programme.

Entry requirements
The Coventry University Global Summer School (hereby known as “the Programme”) is open to students, HE professionals and members of the public. In order to apply to the Programme, Coventry University you must be aged 18 or above by the time that the course starts.
For all courses, we require a good level of English language skill in speaking, reading and writing. All courses are taught solely in English. For English language courses, the Summer School recommends a TOEFL overall score minimum of 4.5 and IELTS score minimum 32. For all other course. If you do not have a valid (within 2 years) TOEFL/IELTS score, please take the English language test and send us your score for consideration.

Accommodation Information
You’ll be staying in Coventry University student accommodation as part of your Global Summer School programme. The accommodation consists of a mix of 4 - 12 ensuite bedroom flats, with a shared kitchen. Located just 5-10 minutes from the University and close to supermarkets, restaurants, Coventry city centre, and other local amenities, our student accommodations are perfect for getting to know your new friends on the course.
