How to Apply - Accommodation

UK/EU Undergraduate Students

Stage 1

What type of offer have you received?

Your course offer status will determine your first steps in the application process.

  • Unconditional offer:  You can submit an online accommodation application. An offer of accommodation will be made to you online (subject to availability).

  • Conditional offer:  You can submit an online accommodation application. However, your application will be held until we receive confirmation from the university that academic requirements have been met.

  • Unconditional Firm: Once you have reached this status and you have met your academic requirements, you will be offered accommodation (subject to availability).

Stage 2

You need to register online

To complete an accommodation application for the first time, you will need to register. To complete your registration, you will need the following:

  • student ID

  • family name

  • date of birth

  • valid email address


When you access the online applications page, you can register by selecting ‘Login’ and then selecting the highlighted ‘Register’ button.

You will use your email address and password to log-in to the accommodation application area.

Once you have completed your registration you will be emailed a 6-digit validation code. You will need to use this code to confirm you can receive emails from us.

Stage 3

Have you received an offer of accommodation?

You will receive an offer of accommodation when your academic requirements have been met. The offer of accommodation will be emailed to you. If you are satisfied with your offer you must accept within 1 day.

You can reject your offer if you are not satisfied with the accommodation but you will not be able to re-apply.

Tip: Are you a sponsored student? Find out how you should accept an offer of accommodation.

Stage 4

Ready to accept your offer?

To accept an offer of accommodation contract, you must:

  • accept the offer within 1 day or it will be withdrawn

  • confirm that you have read and agree to the Terms and Conditions

  • pay an Advance Licence Fee deposit of £300 via the website

  • initiate a payment plan

Tip: Read our Licence to Occupy before accepting your offer.

Postgraduate Students

Have you met all your visa requirements?

Your accommodation application will not be processed until:

  • all conditions of your academic offer have been met

  • a relevant visa to study in the UK has been obtained

  • a scanned copy of your visa has been sent via email to Student Accommodation (unihalls@futurelets.co.uk)

Tip: Send your visa by scanning it and forwarding the copy to us via email.

Stage 4

Have you received an offer of accommodation?

You will receive an email if you have received an offer of accommodation. If you are happy with your offer you must accept within 1 day.

Pre-sessional English Students

If you are taking a pre-sessional English language course prior to your degree programme, we are able to offer you a limited choice (subject to availability) of short-term University accommodation to cover the length of your course.
