Priory Hall is comprised of Block G, H, J. Block G and H have been closed for a number of years. The University have taken the decision to invest in the deconstruction of Block G and H, and planning consent was approved April 2017. The deconstruction of Block H will commence in early June 2017, with the deconstruction of Block G commencing mid-December 2017, with a programme end date of September 2018. In the place of Block G a new mixed hard/soft landscape area will be provided.
The deconstruction of Block G and H will be fully scaffolded and enveloped to reduce the impact of the works and to control both dust and noise during the project. Access for staff and students to Block J will be retained from Priory Street, with the construction of a new temporary reception desk and office in Priory Hall whilst the works to Block H are completed.
