Running throughout the year between October and June, our student-led tours provide a great opportunity for you to get a feel for the campus and our facilities, whilst also giving you access to the opinions and views of one of our student ambassadors. Each tour will last approximately 90 minutes and will provide you with an overview of the campus, including:
The Hub – Our spectacular £35-million students’ building is designed with our students in mind. TheHub provides space to relax, meet up with friends or study informally. You can find a Costcutter convenience store, a Costa Coffee shop and the Food Court, which offers a variety of outlets to satisfy any taste. The Square One venue in TheHub can be used as a cinema, club or entertainment venue and also has a bar and pool tables. The building is also home to our Students' Union Advice Centre and the Health and Wellbeing Centre; catering to all our students' social and welfare needs.
Faculty Buildings – During the tour you will have the opportunity to familiarise yourself with our campus and Faculty buildings, home to our academic Faculties - Faculty of Busines, Environment and Society, Coventry School of Art and Design, Faculty of Engineering and Computing, Faculty of Health and Life Sciences.
The Lanchester Library – A striking building with an innovative design, the Lanchester Library is an invaluable resource centre for students. With a number of different study zones across five floors, it provides a central study centre with over 350 computers, group and individual study rooms, books, journals and electronic resources. We've also recently opened our new Disruptive Media Learning Lab on the third floor; a space for students and academics to challenge traditional ways of learning and develop their own learning methods.
Sport and Recreation Centre – The Sport and Recreation Centre is a real hit with our students. The centrally-located Centre contains a two-court and four-court hall; ideal for indoor football, basketball, netball, badminton, cricket, table tennis and many other activities. There is also a dance studio with regular dance and group gym classes, such as body pump, zumba, and TRX. Upstairs is home to the fully-equipped and recently refurbished fitness suite, home to a multitude of cardiovascular and resistance machines and a dedicated free-weights area.
Callice Court – A University-approved hall of residence located on campus, Callice Court offers premier student living quarters with all rooms complete with an en-suite bathroom. You’ll be shown around the building by a member of the residences team.
Coventry City Centre – Towards the end of the tour you will be shown around parts of the city that are in the immediate vicinity of the campus, including Broadgate, the Cathedral Quarter and the Herbert Art Gallery and Museum.
At the end of your tour you will be offered lunch in the Food Court of TheHub with your student guide and University members so you have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
If you have any questions about the Student-Led Tour, please contact the Postgraduate Admissions team on firstname.lastname@example.org or +44 (0) 24 7765 4321.
