Within the Air-One project we will implement the first UKs first ‘pop up’ airport and charging hub for future electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing (eVTOL) aircraft – such as air taxis and autonomous delivery drones – that will transport people and cargo across cities in the coming years. The Air-One programme will accelerate both public readiness for this new technology & the decarbonisation of our country by promoting an exciting, green alternative for urban mobility.

Project objectives

Air-One will demonstrate a vision of future Urban Air Mobility [UAM], including its capacity to support Disaster Emergency Management & Security [DEMS] in areas exposed to climate change, pandemics or with diminishing resources, a just-in-time, safe & resilient rescue hub. Air-One, will aim to understand public trust & readiness for this new technology udirng real-world demonstrations.
