Did you know we are the oldest part of Coventry University? We’ve been educating some of the world’s leading artists, designers and creative thinkers since 1843.
As part of our 3500-strong student body, you will emerge as a talented professional ready to work in both the UK and global cultural and creative industries.
Within the Faculty there are three schools:
- School of Art & Design
- School of Humanities
- School of Media & Performing Arts
Individuals in our Schools flourish with courses that encompass the Arts, Architecture, Design, English, History, Languages, Media and Communication, Performing Arts, Politics and Sociology.
We believe that arts and humanities have a transformative effect on our lives. Our three schools promote and facilitate collaboration and access to specialist resources in response to an increasingly diverse technological and geographical workplace.
We have won a number of prestigious awards such as the Sir Misha Black Award and the Queen’s Award for Further and Higher Education and our students are continually recognised for achievements in their fields during and after their time here.
We have a strong commitment to Research and were ranked 6th in the UK for impact in the REF2014 for Art, Design, History, Theory and Practice. We make a real contribution in the cultural, political and social spheres.
Creativity and innovation have become a means to providing solutions for some of the world’s most deep-rooted social and cultural problems, so the Faculty combines our subject expertise and knowledge to continue the impact of arts and humanities.
