HESA and HEIDI
HESA (Higher Education Statistics Agency) is the central source for collection and dissemination of statistics about (publicly funded) UK higher education.
HESA run HEIDI (Higher Education Information Database for Institutions) which is a web-based information service on this data. It provides access to HEIs to all the data that is collected by HESA via subscription.
The purpose of the above information is to demonstrate how the University is working to deliver its duties within the Public Sector Equality Duty of the Equality Act 2010; that being to have due regard to the need to:
- eliminate discrimination;
- advance equality of opportunity;
- foster good relations between those who share and do not share a protected characteristic.
Information from the previous years is retained on the site to allow year-on-year comparisons.
All information is available in other formats, including hard (printed) copy in standard or large print. We aim to make all information accessible, including to people using assistive technology. Please do let us know if you have difficulty accessing or understanding any of the data. Recommendations on how this can be improved are really welcome.
