Why learn it?

Spanish is the second-most widely spoken language in the world.  It is an official language in 21 different countries in Europe, South, Central and North America and Africa.  With over 400 million native speakers, learning Spanish will give you the opportunity to communicate with a wide range of individuals across the world.

Are there any words I might recognise?

You’ll probably have heard of the phrase “numero uno” (‘number one’), and the words “fiesta”, “siesta”, “plaza”, or “aficionado”, not to mention countless other loan words that derive from Spanish and are used in everyday English such as “barbecue”, “vigilante”, “avocado”, “burrito”, "jalapeño” …

You might also be able to sing ‘Despacito’.

We offer a range of levels for most languages from beginner to advanced. Our courses match the standard Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) levels - from A1 to C2.

  • Beginner (A1) - A solid start to learning the language.
  • Post-Beginner (A1+) - Gain in confidence with the basics.
  • Improvers (A2) - Start to hold longer, routine conversations.
  • Language and Culture (B1 to B2) - New topics each semester to develop to a higher level.
  • Advanced (C1) - Use the language in more extended and complex situations.
