This single, stand-alone (20 credit) module aims to prepare Community Practitioner Nurse Prescribers to prescribe from the Community Practitioner Formulary. The module comprises integrated theory and practice elements and adheres to the NMC Standards of Proficiency for Nurse and Midwife prescribers (2018).
The course is open to community specialist practitioners such as district nurses, school nurses and health visitors. On qualification, you will be able to prescribe from the ‘Nursing Formulary for Community Practitioners’ (NMC course code: V150).
The European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) is the internationally recognised qualification for computer users.
ECDL aims to improve learners’ understanding of computers and promotes efficient use of software. The course can open up a variety of opportunities through the broad range of skills it offers. The qualification is widely recognised by employers as proof of ability and competence when working with IT.
This undergraduate level module is delivered through blended learning, meaning that students spend 4 days in the same classroom which is complemented by additional online learning activity by way of tutorials and group support.
