I have a BA in Sociology and Social Policy from the University of Stirling and an MA in International Social Transformation from the University of Leeds. Before starting this PhD I worked as an intern and programme assistant for the Joseph Rowntree Foundation. I am interested in labour markets, especially issues affecting those at the lower end of the earnings distribution, and how these issues vary spatially across different types of labour markets, areas and regions. I am also interested in the link between low earnings and in-work poverty.
