Dr. Kajal Gokal
Kajal is a researcher in the Behaviour Interventions Research team in a joint role with Public Health Warwickshire. She has a background in Health Psychology and has experience of working in both clinical settings and research. Kajal graduated with her first degree in Psychology from Aston University and strengthened her clinical and research experience at Headstart intervention services and Flinders University, Australia. She then moved on to focus on research within clinical settings and gained her PhD at Loughborough University. Kajal’s thesis focused on the development and implementation of a self-managed physical activity intervention and its effectiveness on the psychosocial wellbeing and cognitive functioning of breast cancer patients treated with chemotherapy. Since joining the University Kajal has worked on a number of projects developing digital interventions using behavioural frameworks and assessing their impact on Public Health.
